Wednesday 26th March - walks **** – Felixstowe and Trimley Foreshore – sunny with light winds.

Walk 1 – Felixstowe Ferry.

Another stunning day here on the East coast with wall to wall sunshine, a deep blue sky and light airs so I drove down to Felixstowe Ferry at 7.30 take some pics to send to the TV weather. Parking near the small chapel I walk along the Deben past the new benches, got caught red handed borrowing a pot of daffs for a photo oppeertunity but I put them back on a bench with smiles all round:) Then a quick trip round the boatyard with the river looking lovely, so smooth in the light winds! I then checked the large area of daffs in Gosford Way but they are still not out yet and the magnolia tree in a old peoples home near Harvest house looks stunning. Home for breakfast with Mag just getting home from a quick walk along the prom! Mag had an appointment to try and sort out her dodgy neck at 1.45 so we coulnt go far today, we had favied a bike ride around Alton Water, perhaps tomorrow? Mag had a quick trip to Lidl and I did my exercises in a sunny, warm back garden before making a salid for lunch to have outside before Mag walks to the hospital.

Walk 2 – Trimley foreshore.

I make a flask and chocolate bar and drive round to pick Mag up before parking up in Thorpe Lane in Trimley St. Martin for a quiet walk down to the River Orwell past a busy Loompit Lake. There we loads of fly fisherman making the most of a perfect Spring day. We stopped for a nice chat with one of them as loads of trout swam past, in fact we saw several caught too! We then amble along the lovely beach before taking the high path back to the bench looking up the River for our cuppa, this must be one of the best views in Suffolk! We then walk up the hill to the van watching yet more tractors drilling a large field, it is all go at the moment for farmers!
